i am a registered dietician and have been in
private practise since 1992.
i specialize with issues around weight
management and wellness, ranging from eating
disorders, medical problems such as diabetes,
metabolic syndrome and polycystic ovarian
syndrome.
i also treat irritable bowel syndrome, food
intolerances, cholesterol and cardiovascular
(heart) problems and cancer.
i have experience in sports nutrition and see
athletes or sports people who would like to
enhance performance.
i have a special interesting a new field of
nutrition called nutrigenomics. that is the
study of people’s gene make-up and the
prescription of more personalized nutrition
plans and supplements according to personal risk
factors. i help people figure out which
nutritional supplements they should be taking
and in what doses. i see people of all ages,
ranging from babies to the elderly.
i am registered with the
health professionals council of south africa as
well as the association for dietitians in south
africa.
my fees are claimable from medical aids.
